TiviMate Not Working? Every Fix in One Place (2026)

TiviMate not working, crashing, buffering, black screen or no guide? Every common TiviMate problem and its fix in one place, plus the one cause to check last.

When TiviMate stops behaving, it is almost always one of a handful of things, and most of them you can fix yourself in a few minutes. This is the master checklist: find your symptom, jump to the fix. We will start with the reset that solves the most cases, then go problem by problem.

First, the 2-minute reset

Before anything specific, do this. It clears a shocking number of issues:

  • Restart your router and your streaming device (unplug both for two minutes).
  • Clear the TiviMate cache (device Settings, Apps, TiviMate, Clear cache, not data).
  • Update TiviMate to the latest version.
  • Confirm your internet is steady, ideally test a wired connection.

Still broken? Match your symptom below.

TiviMate keeps buffering or freezing

The classic. Raise the buffer, switch to hardware decoding, and go wired. Full walkthrough, including the every-30-seconds loop, in TiviMate buffering every 30 seconds.

The guide (EPG) is blank or says "No information"

Channels play but the guide is empty. Force an EPG update, check the EPG URL, clear the cache. Step-by-step in TiviMate EPG not working.

Channels will not load, or a playlist error

Usually a login or playlist issue: a typo in the URL or credentials, an expired subscription, or a provider that blocks external apps. Re-add the playlist carefully, how to add a playlist to TiviMate covers it.

Black screen or no audio

If you get sound but no picture, or picture but no sound, open Playback settings and switch the decoder between Hardware, Hardware+ and Software. Changing the audio track from the playback menu fixes most missing-audio cases.

TiviMate Premium shows as not active

You paid for Premium but the app still shows free. Check the purchase went through, then sign into TiviMate Companion with the same Google account, clear the cache and restart. More on what Premium does (and does not) include in is TiviMate Premium worth it.

App crashing or very slow

Usually a stuffed-full device. Free up storage, delete apps you do not use, clear the cache, and as a last resort reinstall TiviMate (you will re-add your playlist).

The cause nobody checks: it is the provider, not TiviMate

Here is the pattern after years of these: if you have done the resets, tuned the settings, and the freezing or blank guide still happens, especially on busy channels at peak time, the problem is upstream. TiviMate only shows what the server sends it. An overloaded provider buffers, and a provider with a thin EPG leaves the guide blank, no matter what you change on your end.

A service built for the job fixes both at once. Vivimate runs high-capacity 4K servers so TiviMate does not stutter at prime time, and ships a properly mapped 7-day EPG so the guide actually fills in, all on an Xtream Codes login that takes about a minute to set up. If TiviMate is fighting you and nothing here sticks, the honest next step is a better provider, not another setting.

The bottom line

Most TiviMate problems are a quick reset or a settings tweak away. But if the buffering and the blank guide keep coming back after all of it, that is your provider talking, and the fix is a subscription built for 4K with a real EPG.

Frequently asked questions

Why is TiviMate not working?

Most TiviMate problems come down to a few causes: a connection that needs resetting, a stale cache, an out-of-date app, a login or EPG issue, or an overloaded provider server. Start with a router and device restart plus a cache clear, then match your specific symptom.

How do I fix TiviMate buffering?

Raise the buffer size in Playback settings, switch on hardware decoding, and connect the device to your router with an Ethernet cable. If busy channels still freeze at peak time, the cause is usually the provider server rather than the app.

Why do my TiviMate channels not load?

Usually a login or playlist problem, a typo in the URL or credentials, an expired subscription, or a provider that blocks external apps. Re-add the playlist carefully and confirm your plan is active.

Is it TiviMate or my IPTV provider that is broken?

TiviMate only plays what the provider sends, so if buffering or a blank guide survives every reset, settings change and re-install, the cause is almost always the provider. A high-capacity service with a mapped EPG, like Vivimate, removes both problems.

Should I reinstall TiviMate to fix it?

Reinstalling helps for crashes and persistent glitches, but do the quick steps first: restart, clear cache, update the app. If you reinstall, you will need to add your playlist again, so have your login handy.
